We have a number of interest groups that gather throughout the week!
Golden Friends (our “seniors” group – but all ages are welcome!)
The Golden Friends host a wide array of organized activities throughout the year. These activities are filled with good food, great fellowship, lots of talking, times of giving to the community, and thanking God for our rich and varied lives. Golden Friend meetings are on the third Friday of the month at 10 AM, September through May.
Crafters
Our quilting, knitting and crocheting group gathers at 9:30 AM on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. All are welcome & no experience is necessary. We have members that have graciously offered to teach those willing to learn. Yarn and crochet needles are available for newcomers to use.
Women’s Bible Study
This group meets at 1pm on the 4th Thursday of each month, September – May. We use the Bible study printed in the monthly issues of Gather (the magazine of Women of the ELCA). If you don’t have a copy, we’ll be glad to share. If there are questions, please call the church office or contact Jennifer Fischer.
Racial Justice Workgroup
Our Racial Justice Workgroup began with a small group of committed members attending a local conference on Race and Privilege in 2016. From there we continued to discuss how we understand race, privilege, and justice, and began to plan further educational opportunities for ourselves and for our whole congregation.
Queer Grace Community
QGC is an outreach ministry of a group of LGBTQIA+ Christians in the Twin Cities seeking a space where we can trust that we will be fully seen, known, and loved — by God and by others. We gather weekly (usually Sunday evenings) for worship, Bible study, game night, and cultural events. You can find our schedule here: queergracecommunity.com.
