Minnesota Food Share March Campaign

Our participation in the annual Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign has begun!  This statewide campaign helps us raise funds for our Little Kitchen Food Shelf by offering a percentage-match based on the pounds of food and monetary donations we collect during the month.

There are several ways you can GROW YOUR GIFT to support the work of the Little Kitchen Food Shelf.

IT’S A MATCH! A generous (anonymous) donor from Grace Lutheran Church has pledged $10,000 in matching funds to the Little Kitchen! Organization partners and friends are encouraged to donate before the end of the March Campaign! Members of Grace Lutheran Church, the food shelf’s “home church,” have set a goal for themselves to raise $3,500 of this $10K goal! IF WE CAN RAISE $10,000 BEFORE EASTER (APRIL 5) YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS WILL BE MATCHED DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR BY OUR ANONYMOUS DONOR! And as if that weren’t incentive enough, this match becomes part of our March Campaign fundraising total, and qualifies us for ADDITIONAL financial reward from Minnesota FoodShare! To make a contribution towards the match, please click HERE or make out your check to: Little Kitchen Food Shelf, 1500 6th ST NE, Mpls 55413. Write “It’s a Match!” in the memo line!

MAKE A STOP AT THE CO-OP! March 1 – April 6, shop at the Eastside Food Co-op and find multiple opportunities to support Little Kitchen!
Eastside is providing three ways for patrons to contribute.
Donate shelf-stable items directly to the donation bin. Pick up a copy of Little Kitchen’s Wish List at the customer desk. While we strongly encourage you to donate during the food drive, bin donations are collected all year long.
Round-up at the register.
All monetary donations will be donated directly to Little Kitchen Food Shelf, so they can purchase conventional foods for their shelves at an average rate of $1 per pound.
Buy a market basket.
We are proud to add a new initiative to the food drive this year. For a nominal fee, patrons can purchase a pre-packed market basket of all-natural pantry stables. We believe that all people should have access to the best quality food.
Thank you in advance for supporting this wonderful opportunity to partner with a great organization and provide quality foods to those in need. The food drive will take place during the month of March at Eastside Food Co-op. For more information please email Luna at luna@eastsidefood.coop or call 612.788.0950.
