Little Kitchen Food Shelf logo

Little Kitchen Food Shelf is a no-boundaries, no-restrictions food shelf serving Northeast Minneapolis and beyond. We serve all people. In addition, we stock dog and cat food to feed the companion animals of those in need.

How can I get food? Call our office volunteers at 612-788-2444, Monday through Friday, to register with LKFS. We don’t require proof of identification or limit service to a certain ZIP code. Once you’ve registered, we look forward to serving you every four weeks.

When is Little Kitchen Food Shelf open? On March 5, LKFS updated its hours. We’re open Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6pm to 7:30pm, and open on Saturdays, 10am to 12pm. We’ll no longer be open during the school day on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Is there a limit to the number of people you serve? In the evenings we serve a maximum of 20 households and on Saturdays we serve a maximum of 25 households. We’re trying our best to maintain our inventory and continue offering walk-in service. If you arrive after we’ve met our limit, you can still take home an emergency food bag.

Where is Little Kitchen Food Shelf? Which door do I enter? We’re located in Grace Center for Community Life, at the corner of 5th and 15th streets. Enter Door 3, underneath the sign for Grace Lutheran Church. Need directions? Enter 1525 5th St NE into your map app or website.

Can I volunteer? Energetic volunteers make a world of difference at Little Kitchen Food Shelf. Fill out our online volunteer form or email LKFS Coordinator Lynn Mena at admin@gracenempls.org. Do you take donations of food? Yes! Learn more about how to contribute healthy food here. How can I maximize the amount of food you can purchase from wholesalers? Every dollar you give can purchase up to nine dollars worth of food from our wholesale partners. Donate today at the LKFS GiveMN page.

95% of monetary donations go into the purchase of food and supplies to support our hungry neighbors.
